After Malaysia, we visited my hometown Shanghai and spent some quality time with my family and friends. Then we embarked on the last leg of our trip: Fukuoka, Japan. We started this trip in Japan, so we decided to end this trip in Japan as well. Unfortunately, for the first 4 days we were there, a typhoon hit the city, so we didn't go out and explore during those days. Here are some of the photos we took along the way. You can right click each picture and open it in a new tab to view more clearly.
The reclining buddha at Nanzoin Temple, believed to be the world's largest bronze statue. It reminds me of the golden reclining buddha in Bangkok.

Hakata Canal City Mall at night. It's a big mall but the malls in Southeast Asia are the best!
We tried a tomato-based ramen at Ramen Stadium in the Canal City Mall. It was surprisingly delicious.
Ohori Park, a beautiful public park in the center of Fukuoka
The iconic pavilion on the large lake inside the park
Tochoji Temple houses the largest seated wooden image of Buddha in Japan. Unfortunately, no photo was allowed in the Buddha viewing room.

Torii gates at Sumiyoshi Shrine. We didn't know that we can find these gates outside of Kyoto's Fushimi Inari.
